Congratulations to P.A.K.E.M.A Advisory Board Member, Almas Jiwani, for receiving the MDG Meritorious Award 2013!!

The P.A.K.E.M.A Mentorship Alliance is congratulating our advisory board member, Almas Jiwani, President of UN Women National Committee Canada for being honored with an MDG Meritorious Award at the 2013 Women Advancement Forum in South Africa. “Women’s empowerment is a topic that needs to be re-addressed and discussed iteratively until satisfactory results have been achieved. The international community cannot afford to desist and decelerate in the pursuit of Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s) that stipulate full integration and emancipation of women. The goal of achieving gender equality does not stand isolated. In correlation with other development goals, women’s empowerment is a contributing factor towards ending poverty and building a safe and prosperous world.” Almas Jiwani. Congratulations! Great inspiration!
